Didn't use a dating site (things were a little different back then! - you met people randomly in person in a pub etc), but there were two things that I knew we had to have in common: didn't believe in a god (in the religious sense), and supported a woman's right to choose (I take the obvious things as granted: not racist or homophobic etc). I have been married for over 20 years, met my partner 25 years ago. It may affect things, but for the better.
